Thanksgiving Holiday

I would like to thank each and every one that stopped by and left their condolences. I really appreciated your thoughtful words. You have helped me through a sorrowful moment time.

I’ve been out of the picture for a moment because of so may things going on in my life. My oldest child has her own apartment now *yeeeeeaaaaaa* I’m so happy and proud of her. She and her boy friend found a wonderful apartment and we helped them move in Saturday. Right now she is on cloud nine LOL. But its funny I hear more from her now that she’s moved out, than when she was living with us LOL!!! I bought her a nice house warming gift. I got her dishes *that she jumped up and down about * pots and pans, bake ware, Silver ware, cooking utensils, containers, cutting board, Chefs knife set, just about everything you would need to pull off a great dinner. Which I’ll be expecting in the next couple of weeks LOL!!! The rest of the family is already trying to buy stuff and asking me what to get. I’m like Umm her apartment ask her oookay LOL!!!

Work has been as grueling as ever. Not only do I have Coca Cola account to produce, I’ve gotten another account added to my list Arbys. LAWD they trying to killa sista. Well at least I’m off tomorrow and I’ll be in the kitchen cooking up a storm at least I’ll get all of the prep work out of the way. Then I slap every thing in the oven Thanksgiving Day. It works out for me every year. The Beck Clan family and friends will be grubbing, chill’n and have a festive time by 3:00 p.m. Turkey Day EST LOL!!!

It’s been raining like crazy hear in GA. Although I shouldn’t complain its in the 60"s and Thanksgiving Day is only a couple of days away. Now that’s my kind of winter, it beats the hell out of a Chicago winter by a long shot. Yesterday while heading into work in the rain, someone cut me off as I was coming off the express way at the Windy Hill/Northside Drive exit, and I hit my breaks *instead of pumping them [ok I’ma knuckle head I really Know better] * and the car spun totally around facing the wrong direction and awfully damn close to a wall. I was screaming my azz off. The Lord blessed my butt fo sho. I’m really glad the people driving behind me weren’t close, that would have been a hell of a pile up thanks to the caninus anus * my phrase for shyt head * who cut me off and kept rolling. *wish I had their plate number. Yeah track’em down, slash tires, break windows, sifter gas out of car before pooring sugar in the tank* Gas cost man don’t get it twisted, waste not want not *Hmph* And trust me that spin o’roma damn near hit the wall drama shyt didn’t help my panic attacks one freaking bit.

Since I’ll be off until Monday I’ll have time to catch up on my reading... yep your blogs. Got see what you peeps been up to latley. See who has been naughty or nice *wink*. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Eat, drink and enjoy your loved ones and above all be safe out there. Take it EZ y’all

R.I.P.

I’m sitting here wanting to say so much but I can’t seem to form my feelings into words. My buddy Greg says I need to let myself grieve. I know he’s right. Grieving is a way of letting go or accepting the death of a loved one. I guess I’m just not ready to let go yet. You see I lost a good friend yesterday. My mom called to tell me that James was in the hospital in critical condition. Mom had been off work for a few days and went back to work yesterday. She asked where James was and they told her that he was in the hospital. He had sickle cell anemia. When mom finally got some info. It wasn’t what we wanted to hear. James past away yesterday afternoon.

Umm... keep reading peeps »

LOVE BLACK FOLKS!

Most of this is TOO TRUE!!!... hope that it doesn't offend. If it does get over it *Hmph*

THERE'S NOBODY LIKE THEM

With black folks, everything starts late! Everything ends late. Time is just a thang!

Black folks' philosophy about time is, "We may not be on time, but we are in time, and we don't want to miss anything."

Some black folks arrive late for weddings, funerals, and Sunday church services! And then act like they are on time!

Black folks will go to social functions, particularly at church, and not stay for the program, but want to wrap up some food to take home as if the event is fast food "take out."

When some black preachers can't think of what else to say during a sermon, will say, "Look at your neighbor and say, 'God loves you!"

Umm... keep reading peeps »
